An engagement is the event of exclaiming the choice to be married by the fiances. The engagement performs 2 major functions : to broadcast the call of a young couple to be married and to set the time required for the preparing of the marriage.
The fogeys of both the person and the girl are introduced to one another and debate the preparations for the marriage, the way in which the marriage is to be held, where the newlyweds will live and what plans for the future they entertain. The girl's family take care of her future hubby and attempt to create the good atmosphere for him to feel "at home", as one says. The majority know the fiftieth wedding anniversary is the "golden" anniversary, and so the 25th is silver. While a civil wedding doesn't assure her the independent pa of her kid will stay with them. In Russian they act out the marriage, that is there's a special marriage script, where they attempt to observe all traditional customs. A modern marriage includes many primitive elements,eg asking the blessing of the bride's folks, a redemption of the bride, a marriage train going from the groom's to the bride's, a white dress of the bride and others.
